“Всё Равно” – It’s All the Same

This expression “Всё равно!” (It's all the same! I don't care!) can be used in different ways:

1. Одинаково (equally), безразлично (it's all the same), неважно (it's not important). In that case the subject takes the dative case (Кому?):

- Ему всё равно! (It's all the same for him, he doesn't care!) - Что будем делать – пойдём в кино или в театр? - Всё равно. (What are we going to do, go to the movie or the theater? - It's the same for me.)

2. Как всё равно найти, прийти, уехать, взять, принести … (to find it, to come, to leave, to take, to bring ... all the same)

- Я всё равно пойду в кино, упрямо повторял сын. (Still I will go to the movie, stubbornly repeating the son.) - Поручите это мне, потому что я его всё равно убью,- сказал он. (Leave it to me, because I will kill him anyway, - he said.) A. Fadeev

3. Тем не менее (however), всё-таки (all the same), несмотря ни на что (no matter what)

- Хотя пока счёт не в нашу пользу, я всё равно верю в победу нашей команды. (Also the score is still not in our favour, I still believe in the victory of the team.)
